Good Morning Silver Lake!

Today is Monday,  May 1  and a Day 5

Today's lunch is Breakfast for Lunch

Please pause for a moment of silence

Tickets for the senior prom,  which will be held on May 19th , will be after school on TuesdayThursday and Friday this week until 2:30 in the guidance office.
Tickets are $65 each, cash or check made out to Silver Lake Regional High School.

Please make sure you are not on the ineligible list and your parents/guardians have attended the Social Hosting presentation before attempting to purchase a ticket- you can see your assistant principal with any questions.


If you are going to the senior prom, please bring dismissal notes to the kiosk as soon as possible.
The last day to bring in a note is Monday, May 15th.
Time of dismissal and your parent or guardians phone number must be on the note.
Even if you are 18 years old, please bring a note so that we can expedite the check out process.
See Mrs. Kalinowski or Mrs. Cameron at the kiosk with any questions.

All library books for seniors are due back to the library by Friday.   


The Annual Blood Drive will be held on Friday from 8-1 in the gym.  If you are at least 16 years of are eligible to donate.  See Mr. Pina in room 1118 to sign up or if you have any questions. 



Writers, the First Line Contest has returned. Submit your story for a chance to win a $25 Amazon Gift Card. Look for the signs posted in your English classroom for details.


The Creative Writing Club will meet Tuesday from 2:15 to 3:15 in the i-Pad Lab.. 
If you enjoy writing creatively, please stop by.


What could be better than summer at the Lake?  Sign up for summer enrichment courses now!! The deadline for registration has been extended to Friday, May 19.  Join Mrs. Bates and Ms. DePasqua for some theatre fun, expand your creative writing abilities with Mr. McStowe, talk film with Mr. Gregory, learn to run your financial life with Mr. Savoy, make a short documentary film about Silver Lake, and more!! Print a registration form from the library website or pick up one in the library, at the kiosk, or in Ms. Ricci's room, 1304


Attention all Silver Lake dancers: the Silver Lake Dance team is looking to ramp it up and improve on our first season.  If you are interested in being a part of that, please join us at tryouts for the 2017-2018 school year
on Monday, in the Large Group Room from 2:30-3:30
Wear appropriate clothing and footwear for dance, please. 



The first meeting of the Community Builders Club will be held in room 1114 on Monday, .
The Community Builders Club raises money for a third world country in poverty each year.
This year they are trying to raise money for AIDs orphans in Congo. Feel free to stop by on Monday for an informational meeting.

Send toys hand-crafted by Mr. Schriefer and NHS members to impoverished children in Trujillo, Peru with a team of Silver Lake students traveling to Peru this summer. To contribute, make a donation outside the cafeteria during all lunch waves.






PAC TV broadcasts activities from Silver Lake on Comcast Channel 14 and Verizon Channel 41.  Many programs may be viewed at anytime  from the PAC TV  website..
